Cerris Systems performed as the prime mechanical with Goodwin Brothers Construction on the design-build renovations to the city’s primary wastewater treatment facility. The facility was originally built in the 1960s and the elimination of aging waste incinerators allowed Kansas City Water to install newer Earth-friendly Thermal Hydrolysis Process (THP) Systems to handle and dispose of 98% of the city’s wastewater solid material. The facility treats 75MGD of wastewater. This is the fourth significant wastewater or water treatment plant that Goodwin Brothers and Cerris Systems have constructed in Missouri since 2015.
