Cerris Systems was selected by Power Engineers (formerly Sega, Inc.) to provide mechanical construction services as part of the EPC contract to construct Jameson Energy Center, a new 26-MW combustion turbine generator facility in Garden City, Kansas.
Our team installed the three owner-provided packaged Siemens SGT-400 gas turbines, a fuel gas conditioning system, air compressors, and all associated piping systems. Additionally, we provided the HDPE underground fire main and all interior finishes for the control building, air compressor building, and electrical building.
The purpose of the project is to supply a new source of power to Garden City for peak operations. Work began in November 2013 and the power plant became active on schedule in the summer of 2014.
